Clean Eating Chai Granola is my answer to overly sweet granola. I really can’t stand oatmeal but wanted to incorporate oats into my diet as part of a heart-healthy diet. Most granola is way too sweet for my liking so I came up with this in an effort to “spice” up my oats.

1 cup pecans, broken into pieces
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup dried cranberries
zest of one orange
1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons coconut oil

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a small bowl mix together ground spice mixture.

In a large bowl mix oatmeal, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, pecans raisins, cranberries and orange zest.

Mix the spice mixture with the oats mixture.

Pour the honey mixture in with the oats and spice mixture and mix well.

On 2 separate baking sheets spread the mixture out evenly.
